Sound Art Project

 Welcome back to my blog! This week, we learned about the use of sound in movies and were asked to make a video using just sound. For this project, I partnered up with my classmate Gabrielle Brown to create our narrative and videos. I hope you enjoy! . Here is our narrative, based on which we created all the sounds.  1. Going to confess your love to a crush Taking a deep breathe (in and out) Crack knuckles Footsteps Heartbeat Background chatter 2. Confessing to your crush Faster heartbeat Swoosh of paper Crumple a piece of paper Crush saying "Sorry, not interested" A person with loud footsteps running Whimping Door opening to the bathroom Footsteps to the bathroom stall Locking stall Back slammed into the stall Crying The creation of our Foley Full sound Video Thank you for reading! Case study

 Hello! Today, we were asked to examine the first two minutes of a movie's camera angles and create a paragraph discussing the deeper meaning behind these angles. I chose Wonder. This is one of my favorite movies. I hope you enjoy! At :06, we are greeted with a singular astronaut jumping up and down in slow motion.  This symbolizes the loneliness felt by the main character and the joy that he feels playing this astronaut character. As we zoom out, we are brought back into reality to see a boy jumping up and down on his bed alone. This reverse zoom only further supports the feeling of loneliness as it continues to zoom out, showing the emptiness of his room. Next, we are met with an array of over-the-shoulder shots of the boy and his father playing with lightsabers. This connotes the idea of happiness being found within the ...
