Classmate's blog commentary

Hi, welcome back! Today we were asked to comment on some of our classmates' photos. I chose these, hope you enjoy!

 1. This floor-level shot by my classmate Gabrielle evokes a feeling of hope. To me, it simulates a new beginning when she picks up the pencil. As if when she picks up that pencil, her life will change for the better. 

2. This is another image taken by my classmate Gabriel. I like this picture because of the diverse group of people interacting together as friends. It shows the way that young people interact with each other without judgment.

3. I like this image because it really shows the grind of an average high school AICE student. It focuses on girls working in books and on computers, but in the background, you see many others also working, truly capturing the hard work put in by students.

1. I especially like this image taken by my classmate Kyra. I enjoy the playful tone created by the angle as well as the expressions made by the muses. I also enjoy the height diversity created by the poses done by the models; it creates an interesting perspective when paired with the angle that I enjoy. 

2. This is another picture taken by my classmate Kyra. I like this two-person shot of two girls sitting and reading because of the position. The comfortable position, to me, symbolizes the joy that can be found in reading. I also enjoy the position and books chosen for this photo. The face on the books creates a funny image when looked at closely. 

3. I like this image a lot. It creates the idea of the tranquility some find in the company of books. The positioning of the girl in the image, with the books surrounding her on all sides, really embodies this idea of books being a sanctuary. A place where you can escape from the hardships of life.
